Ingredients

  • Besan [ Gram flour] – 1/2 cup

  • Salt

  • Red Chili Powder

  • Pinch of turmeric powder

  • Pinch of hing / asafetida

  • Bread Slice – 3

  • Cookie cutter – round shape

  • Red chili sauce- 1 tbsp

  • Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp

  • Chopped bell pepper- 1 tbsp

  • Water – 1/4 cup

  • Oil – for frying

  • Chopped ginger – 1 tsp

  • Chopped green chilies -2

  • Chopped onion – 1

  • Chopped coriander leaves

  • Chopped onion springs

  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Take 3 bread slices.
  • Cut the bread slices using round cookie cutter.
  • FOR BATTER PREPARATION
  • In bowl take besan , chili powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt, cumin powder.
  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Add water and make a batter.
  • Batter should be just thin enough to coat.
  • FOR FRYING STEPS
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • Once the oil is hot, simmer the heat to medium low.
  • Dip the bread pieces in the batter and drop them in hot oil.
  • Deep fry until golden brown from both the sides
  • Drain on a tissue.
  • FOR MAKING BREAD SNACKS STEPS
  • In pan add oil.
  • Add ginger, green chilies, bell pepper. saute well.
  • Add chopped onion and salt.
  • Saute until it turns into transferent.
  • Add red chili sauce and tomato ketchup.
  • Add cumin powder. saute well.
  • Add fried bread pieces into the pan and mix it well.
  • Finely add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Garnish with chopped onion leaves.

Step by step process with pictures

  • Take 3 bread slices and cut the bread slices using round cookie cutter.
  • In bowl take besan , chili powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt, cumin powder.

  • Heat oil for deep frying over medium flame. dip the bread pieces in the batter and drop them in hot oil.
  • Flip after few minutes.
  • Deep fry until golden brown from both the sides and drain on a tissue.
  • In pan add oil. Then add ginger, green chilies, bell pepper and Saute well. Add chopped onion and salt. saute until it turns into transferent. then add red chili sauce, tomato ketchup and cumin powder.
  • Add fried bread pieces into the pan and mix it well.Finely add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Garnish with chopped onion leaves.
  • Serve it with hot tea.
