I remember that day when me and my husband went for dinner.We ordered malai kofta and naan.That malai kofta I never tasted before it was amazing taste. A lots of cremy smoothy curry with some flavored spices. That day I thought I want to make this recipe at home.I tried malai kofta and the taste was awesome.

Ingredients For kofta

  • 150 gram of Paneer.

  • 2 boiled potatoes.

  • 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.

  • Chopped Coriander leaves.

  • salt as needed.

  • 1 tsp of Garam Masala.

  • 1 tsp of cashews

  • oil for deep frying.

  • 2 tsp of corn flour.

Ingredients for gravy

  • 1 cup onion chopped.

  • 1 cup of tomatoes chopped.

  • 10 cashews nuts.

  • 1 inch cinnamon stick.

  • 2 cardamom or elaichi

  • 2 cloves.

other Ingredients

  • 2 tsp oil.

  • 1 bay leaf.

  • 1 tsp red chili powder.

  • 1 tsp coriander powder.

  • 1/2 tsp sugar.

  • 1/2 cup of water.

  • 1 tsp of kasuri methi.

  • 4 tsp of fresh cream.

  • 1 inch cinnamon,2 clove,2 cardamom.

Directions of malai kofta

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil.add cardamom,clove,cinnamon ,cashews and onions.
  • Saute until the onion turns into golden brown color.
  • Next add tomatoes & saute until tomato gets mushy.
  • Turn off the gas, cool it completely and blend the above mixture into fine paste.

Directions for making gravy

  • Heat a pan with oil.add bay leaf, cardmon, cinnamon stick, clove then add ginger garlic paste. saute until raw smell of ginger and garlic goes away.
  • Then add chili powder, garam masala, salt and sugar.
  • Pour the onion-tomato paste.mix it well.saute for 3-4 min.
  • Then add water to make gravy.after that add kasuri methi.
  • Regulate the flame to low and add creme.set this aside.

Directions of koftas.

  • To make koftas, boil potatoes.Crumble them.
  • Then add crumbled panner, ginger garlic paste,coriander leaves, salt ,corn flour, garam masala and cashew nuts.
  • Mix everything well.then divide into 5 equal parts.roll them into balls.
  • Heat the oil into pan for deep frying.once the oil is heat put kofta balls into the oil.make sure your koftas does not disintegrate.
  • Deep fry koftas until it turns into golden brown color.

Assembling kofta balls into gravy

  • Cool the gravy and kofta slightly.transfer gravy into serving bowl then add kofta balls in it.
  • Add creme on top of the gravy.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
