Mirchi Pakoda is easy to make recipe. Mirchi pakora have many varieties like onion pakoda, paneer pakoda, palak pakoda, potato(aaloo) pakoda. To make it more yummy you can stuff the mirchi with some mashed potatoes. On Monday Evening it was awesome weather and drizzling outside. My husband came from office on that day and he was feeling hungry, so he asked to prepare some fried snacks with hot tea. So this recipe came into mind, it was so delicious. So i taught let me share this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2-4 Large Mirchi.

  • 1 cup gram flour(Besan).

  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds.

  • 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.

  • 1/4 tsp of Garam Masala.

  • 1 pinch of asafetida (Hing).

  • 1 pinch of Baking soda.

  • salt as per taste.

  • water as required, to make thicken batter.

  • 1 onion chopped.

  • 2 green chillies chopped.

  • 1 tsp of red chili powder.

  • 1 tsp of amchure powder(Dry mango powder).

  • 2 potatoes boiled and mashed.

  • oil for frying.

Preparation steps

  • Take all dry ingredients(Gram Flour,red chili powder,Hing,Baking soda,Salt,Gram masala,Turmeric powder) in a bowl.add water in parts to make thick batter.
  • Slit the green chilies from one side, with small spoon remove all seeds from chilies.
  • For stuffing,take boiled and mashed potatoes in a bowl then add chopped onions, green chilies, amchure powder(Dry mango powder), salt. Mix it well.
  • Fill the large chilies with this potato mixture then deep the chiles into the batter.
  • Evenly coat the chilies with batter and also apply batter inside the chilies.
  • In a deep frying pan heat oil and deep fry the batter coated chilies in oil till it turn into the golden brown color.
  • Serve stuffed mirchi pakora with bread or serve as a side dish.
