Yesterday morning I prepared Cluster beans-Gawar ki Subji for lunch and It was tasty.This Subji goes perfect with roti and phulka.These cluster beans take little longer time to cook so I prefer to Shallow fried the cluster beans.This gawar sabzi appears regularly in my kitchen.This is my mom’s recipe. This Gawar ki Subji have low calories so you can add to your diet.This sabji is healthy yet delicious.Try it once, I am sure you will like it.I share whole process of this recipe on youtube and the link is below of this recipe.check it out.

Ingredients

  • 250 gram Cluster Beans.

  • 1 tsp of Yellow Lentils (soak into water for 10 min).

  • 2 tsp of Oil for cooking and 1 tsp oil for shallow fry.

  • 1 tsp of Cumin seeds and Mustered seeds.

  • 1 chopped Onion.

  • 1 tsp of Chili Powder.

  • 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.

  • 1 tsp of Coriander Powder.

  • salt as per taste.

  • 1 cup Water.

  • 1 tsp of Garam Masala.

  • Chopped Coriander Leaves for garnish.

Directions

  • Wash cluster beans well and let the excess water drain.
  • Remove the head and tail part. Then cut into approx 1 inch size pieces.
  • Take 1 tsp of oil into pan.once the oils heat put cluster beans and shallow fry in medium heat for 10 min.
  • After 10 min keep aside fried cluster beans and let it cool completely.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.put cumin seed and mustered seed.after that add chopped onions.saute till onions turns into golden brown color.
  • Add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix it well.
  • Then add fried cluster beans and salt.mix it well.after that add soaked yellow lentils and 1 cup of water.
  • Lastly add garam masala.cook Subji for 5 min.then add coriander leaves for garnish.
  • Stir well. switch off the stove heat. Sabzi is ready to serve.
