Egg Masala is my favorite recipe. I love Eggs in all manner. There are a number of people who happen to be eggetarian but cannot eat meat. Egg has source of proteins. When my hubby Naveen comes home after office he says” I am very tired and hungry, i want something for dinner tonight”. I definitely make egg gravy for dinner. He loves egg recipes so I always keep eggs in my refrigerator. A spicy and flavorful egg gravy with boiled eggs cooked in aromatic masala, Indian whole spices and coconut. This is my mom’s recipe.she would normally serve it with Bhakri (made from bajri flour) or sometime with chapati. The combination of Bhakri and egg gravy is heaven. My Mouth waters even today just thinking about her food.she is amazing cook and I learnt many recipes from her. I want to share this recipe with you guys. Do try this recipe at home. Ingredients
Hard Boiled and peeled 5 eggs.
4 tsp of Oil.
1 tsp of cumin seeds.
1 onion sliced.
Garam Masala.
Turmeric powder.
2 Chopped Garlic.
Half inch chopped Ginger.
1 cup of sliced Coconut.
1 tsp of Seasame seeds.
1 tsp of Coriander Powder.
2 tsp of Chili powder.
1 cup of Water.
Chopped coriander leaves for garnish.
salt as per taste.
Directions of making masala
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.Once the oil is heat add sliced onion.then add chopped garlic, ginger pieces and cumin seeds.
- Mix it well.Once the onion turns into golden brown color add coconut slices and seasame seeds. Saute well for 2 min.
- After 2 min keep mixture aside and cool down completely.
- In a mixi jar take mixture and grind it into fine paste.
Directions of making garvy.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan on medium flame.once the oil is heat add turmeric powder, chili powder and coriander powder into the oil.mix it well.make sure your flame must be on medium.
- After that add grinded masala into oil.saute well for 2 mins.
- Then add 1 cup of water.mix it well.cook the masala for 10 min.then add Garam Masala.
- Once the oil comes from masala put boiled eggs and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Bhakri, roti or naan.
